Building a new category of environmental intelligence.
Smart Surface Robotics was founded to change how organizations understand and protect physical environments.
A team assembled for the built world.
Smart Surface Robotics is built by a multidisciplinary team spanning environmental science, robotics, machine learning, hardware engineering, and facility operations — the mix of disciplines it takes to understand how buildings behave and how technology can protect them.
Together we are developing an integrated platform that connects continuous sensing, predictive environmental intelligence, and autonomous robotics — helping facilities move from reactive remediation to proactive protection. Our work is grounded in serious research relationships and a shared conviction that environmental risk should be visible long before it becomes damage.
The company is based in Arizona, with ambitions that extend to national and international facilities across commercial, defense, cultural-heritage, and agricultural sectors.
The team building the platform.
The multidisciplinary leadership building Environmental Sentinel™ and the robotics that follow.

Grounded in serious engineering.
Research and development relationships include work with teams affiliated with organizations such as Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center, Georgia Tech research laboratories, Virginia Tech researchers, and engineering and manufacturing collaborators — described here as research relationships, not formal endorsements.
Patent-pending technology.
Smart Surface Robotics is developing intellectual property around its sensing and analytics approach. We describe technology as patent-pending only where legally accurate, and do not disclose confidential capitalization, valuation, fundraising, patent details, or customer identities.
Responsible technology, deployed broadly.
The same environmental intelligence platform is built to serve commercial, government, defense, agricultural, and cultural-heritage facilities responsibly — with a commitment to accurate, appropriately qualified claims about what the technology does today versus what it is being developed to do.
